APTA - Bus - Brake and Chassis 

 

The Brake and Chassis Systems Working Group focuses on the chassis and undercarriage of the transit bus. This working group started with the brake systems and will move on to the suspension system.

Bruce Dahl from King County Metro is the Chair and Chris Farell of Haldex is the Vice-Chair. The group has both business and transit membership.  The working group meets approximately 4 times a year.

The next major inifitive of the Brake & Chassis working group will focus on the improvement of Air Management in today’s vehicles.

This group is currently developing a priority list for standards development in this area.  Any suggestions would be welcome.  They are also always looking for participation.
