The documents being worked on relate to new or retrofit vehicle cooling package installation and testing.
Specific work products include:
· Recommended Practice for Transit Bus Total Cooling System Performance Capability Testing- Completed and waiting validation
· Recommended Practice for Cooling System Degradation Factors – completed – out for to vote
· Recommended Practice for Cooling System Installation- out for comment
There will be a validation test that is currently scheduled for the GM Desert Proving Grounds in Mesa, AZ April 14-26th 2006. The 30 foot Optima vehicle is being provided by Salt Lake City Transit, the test is a cooperative effort of Link West and working group members.
The group will make recommendations for additional powertrain issues needing standards development in the work plan which is being developed.
